Special Presentation: Jon Dore
Underground Comedy Club is proud to present one of Canada’s most original and unpredictable comedians: Jon Dore.
Winner of the 2023 JUNO Award for Comedy Album of the Year for A Person Who Is Gingerbread, Dore is known for his offbeat humour, sharp writing, and wildly inventive bait-and-switch style. Named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch,” he has built a devoted following across Canada and the United States, with sold-out appearances at Just For Laughs in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, as well as festivals in Halifax, Winnipeg, Portland, and Bonnaroo.
Dore created and starred in the award-winning mockumentary series The Jon Dore Television Show, which aired on IFC and The Comedy Network. He also hosted four seasons of HBO Canada’s Funny as Hell and hosted The Stand-Up Show with Jon Dore for Just For Laughs on CTV Comedy.
His television credits include Conan, Inside Amy Schumer, How I Met Your Mother, Baroness von Sketch Show, @midnight, Hart of Dixie, Kroll Show, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Speechless, Those Who Can’t, Humour Resources, Amazon Prime Video’s The Lake, and CBC’s Small Achievable Goals.
